Iscairia “an island of joy” (literally) is owned by the Fariello family and offers homespun hospitality within the walls of the traditional family workshop. We are surrounded by the verdant, rolling hills of the Elea-Velia archaeological Park (important citadel of Magna Graecia dating from C6th BC) and on Virgil’s adored crystalline coast, yearly winner of Italy’s prestigious Blue Flag awards.
Iscairia is the happy result of an imaginative reinvention of a traditional local family business for the C21, and as such we’ve been featured on TV and in magazines for our success . We’re proud to have earned the endorsement of the “Legambiente Turismo” for our work on localism, sustainability and environmentalism.
A large olive grove blessed with a natural swimming pool is the perfect setting for relaxation. Guests can wallow under the shade of trees enjoying the gentle sea breezes that accompany our many sunny days, enjoy the tranquil shelter of the Gazebo or, during winter, gather round exchanging friendships around the warming embers of the fireplace.
